Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

PaizLogic is operated by PaizTech, a company based in Costa Rica ("PaizTech", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use PaizLogic, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to run your account and the Service: • Account information: your email address, first name, and last name • Google sign-in: if you create your account with Google, we also receive your profile photo and an identifier from Google that lets us recognize your account on future sign-ins • Profile details you choose to add: your preferred language, country, gender, and a short biography, all optional • Your work: the circuits, projects, and folders you save, along with related metadata such as names, descriptions, and timestamps • Usage and performance telemetry: through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring, we automatically collect data about how you use the Service — pages visited, features used, load times, and errors — to understand usage patterns and keep the Service reliable. This data is tied to a device/installation identifier, not directly to your name

We do not collect or store your password. Account authentication is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication, a Google service; PaizLogic never receives or sees your password in any form.

3. Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only with the service providers ("processors") that help us run PaizLogic, and only to the extent needed for that purpose: • Google, through Firebase: Authentication (sign-in and password handling), Firestore (database that stores your account, circuits, and projects), Storage (uploaded files), Analytics and Performance Monitoring (usage telemetry described above), App Check with reCAPTCHA (abuse and bot protection for our API), Cloud Messaging (if you enable notifications), and App Hosting (the infrastructure that runs paizlogic.com) • SendGrid: sends the transactional emails related to your account, such as sign-in links, email verification, and password resets

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a session cookie named __session to keep you signed in across paizlogic.com and its subdomains (such as simulator.paizlogic.com); it is strictly necessary for the shared sign-in to work. If you use the Service without an account (guest mode), we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage to remember your guest session and preferences, such as whether you have already seen the guest welcome message; this data stays on your device and is not linked to an account unless you sign up.

5. Retention and Deletion

We keep your account information and your saved circuits and projects for as long as your account is active. Usage telemetry is retained according to Google's standard retention periods for Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and stored data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep certain records by law or where data has already been distributed as part of a published circuit under the license described in our Terms of Use.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, or request a copy of it in a portable format. You can access, correct, and delete most of your own data directly from your account, or delete your entire account from your account settings. For anything you cannot do yourself, or to exercise any of these rights formally, write to legal@paizlogic.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Users between 13 and 18 must use the Service with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, as described in our Terms of Use. If we learn we collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

PaizTech is based in Costa Rica, but the infrastructure that powers PaizLogic — Google's Firebase services and SendGrid — runs on servers located outside Costa Rica, including in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your data will be processed in those locations, under the safeguards each provider applies to international transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or to applicable law. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email.
